Which do you think is the most unusual name? I teach in China and my freshmen communications class has some ?

of the most unusual English names I have ever heard! (Great students and wonderful people!) Which of these would you say was most unusual? (in alphabetical order) Arrow, Braver, Crazy, Eleven, Koala, Paper, Smile, Sweet, and Toxic

I had never heard any of these before!

Your unusual are actually WAY more unusual than any of the names people have proposed on Y!A for their new babies! I haven't heard of anyone with those names in the U.S. My vote goes for Crazy as having the most baggage.

I once knew a man named "Finish." His mother had quite a few children, and he was the last.
Reply:I would not be surprised. Some time back I did read an article somewhere that Chinese parents are opting for strange names for their children, some of them are hard enough to pronounce.

A Chinese couple seeking a distinctive and modern name for their child chose the commonly used Internet 鈥楡鈥?symbol, much to the consternation of Chinese officials.http://trailerparkbarbie.wordpress.com/2...

The website that I have cited contains names more weird than you ask of, and considering the fact that you have been living in China for so long, you might have heard of the trend. Please correct me if I am wrong anywhere because most of my sources are what I read on web.

China is planning to introduce new regulations on name registration because the government's computer database is unable to handle the rare names and characters the parents keep coming with http://www.infowars.com/articles/ps/chin...
Reply:Personally, I won't/couldn't use any of those. But Toxic has to be the worse. Talk about your parents not caring enough about you. But are the chinese names spelled in english?
