Reply:This from a Labor and Delivery nurse, a foreign-born family named their son Asswipe, pronounced azz-WHIPP-ay. They ended up setting up a consultation with the hospital's Social Worker to work with the family, explain why this wasn't a good idea, and to change the name. I think they eventually changed the spelling.

Reply:dont mean to offend african/ americans but they come up with some names that i know that they even have trouble pronouncing.

A few years ago, I lived in the City of Signal Hill(near Long Beach) on Hathaway Street, and my girlfriend and I conceived our son at a hotel on Sepulveda Boulevard near LAX(the airport)...





My girlfriend was/still is a die-hard fan of "Battlestar Galactica(the original series, NOT the Sci-Fi Channel remake!), so it was HER idea to name our son Hathaway also because at the time the original series was on the air in 1978, she had a crush on "BS" co-star Noah Hathaway, who played Boxey...she was only 9 1/2 years old at that time!!!...





Our first "home' was a rental on Hathaway Street in Signal Hill, so that made her even happier(some coincidence!)...
