Does anyone have an unusual first name?

If so, what is it where did it come from . Mine is Kylee it is an austrailian aboriginal name that means boomerang and it is also Irish and meands chief.

My first name is Ro铆s铆n (pronounced ra-SHEEN), which is Irish for rose. I go by my middle name, Rowan, because it's easier for people to pronounce.

Jez'reel- I know it's Hebrew..but I don't have a meaning for it...but I always think it comes from the Biblical name "Jezebel" which means impure and pain haha because his mother went through alot of pain during birth so she named him after her experience in the Bible haha

Whyte- I heard it was an Irish last name ( some drunk guy actually saw my name on the back of my AAU basketball shirt and he was like "hey! HOW MUCH FOR THAT SHIRT?! haha and he was like that's my last name too but im Irish =p...your ancestors must have jumped the fence or soemthing" haha and he asked me for my address so i was with a bunch of friends n i was like i live here haha ummm didnt give him my real address...but im from Ghana though...as far as I know atleast)

I HATED it as a child. Adults would tell me when I was little how pretty it was (eeww) I never believed them. Kids are cruel and always made fun of me. I grew to hate homeroom...roll call. Oh and forget it, when we had a sub, I knew they would hack it to pieces. I remember telling my mom I hated it and why'd she name me that.





It wasn't until I became an adult myself that I began appreciating it. Now I love the unniqueness of my name. Well actually, it was unusual up until "the Bratz" used it for one of their dolls. If only they existed when I was small (smile) life for me would have been a whole lot easier because it would have been so much more common! No child likes to stand out or be different from everyone else. I wanted to be Amy or Tiffany, or Keisha etc.





Needless to say, I LOVE my name now...and adults still think it's beautiful.
