His dam is appaloosa. His sire is Palamino. He looks like a Palamino.

I like the idea of using a native american name. Appaloosa sounds all american and the native americans also used these wonderful horses. Here is an archive full of name ideas for your colt!

Reply:Song lyrics are a great source for poetic names. (And I believe that every horse deserves a pretty show name as well as a barn nickname, even if you do not plan to show him!)





So maybe Fields of Gold (nickname Goldy) or If I Forget Thee (nickname Jerusalem, the "city of gold") or Shine On (nickname Shine).





Or you could combine his breed names and go with Appalomino. Pal for short. (:
