Why Did Obama Choose To Keep His Unusual Name?
Because its not as funny as BUSH or HUCKABEE or RUDOLPH or MITT !
Reply:Why should he change it? It's his name, part of his identity and it's very much so cool.

Uhhh, he was BORN in the U.S., he didn't "come here." Its his name, he should change it because you find it unusual? My friends (natural born Americans) just named their kid Zaiden. Should he then change it because its "unusual?"
Reply:because that's the name his parents gave him, and it's a good name at that.

Reply:When I met a foreigner who introduces himself to me by his 'adopted' name, I always ask what the real name is Y try to call him by his real name.





If the name is complicated I can see it being shortened, but that is not the case with Obama's name.

Reply:He was called Barry until he decided to run for president. Why would anyone change their last name unless it was very long and impossible to pronounce!

However, I do hold his racism against him.





Could you attend a church which was exclusively your race, and honors the most outspoken racist from your race. For example, I could not attend a church which honored a Grand Wizard of the KKK...and if I did, and ran for office, the media would crucify me.

If you go too his churches web site at Trinity Christian Church.com you will see that they do not admitt Whites or Hispanics too their church and that he is a liar and a raceist despite his campaign statements that he is the candidate who will uninte the races. What he is is an out and out liar and racisist. His church also favors Africans over Americans. Become an informed voter and check it out.

Obama has done the right thing by keeping his given name.





It may be unusual to us but it says much more about his heritage.
Reply:His mother is an American. He was named by his father. If Obama would have legally changed his name he would have been thrown under the bus for "trying to hide his muslim ties" just like he is being thrown under the bus now. He's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. I could care less about his name, but I am glad he never changed it in order to appease those with small minds.
