Reply:Cornish Language - Tre an gof (place name written Trengove) means Farm of the Smith. Bray in Cornish means Hill so try Carn Brea which is Hill of rocks, or Bos carn (place name written Boscarne) means dwelling by the rocks. Chy Lowan means happy house in Cornish. Hope this helps

Reply:Why the hell to do want to name your house????
Reply:Look up the old maps, the older the better. Try your library. If where you live used to have a townland name it is no longer known by, that would be very appropriate
Reply:Bonnie Brae kind of Scottish feel to it?
Reply:Maybe do some research and see if your house ever had another name or if the area did? Sometimes you can find very interesting names that way and then it would also have a bit of a story behind it? Best of luck with your house:)

Reply:My in-law's house is called Innisfree which comes from the irish inis fraoigh meaning "heather island". Their old house was called that when they moved in so they took the name with them when they moved.
