Does your child have an unusual first name?

I'm naming my daughter Dresden Willow. They were the only 2 names my boyfriend and I agreed on. She's due on Wednesday. :)

Does your child have an unusual first name?
I wouldn't call my kids' names unusual, but they are Lithuanian, so they're definitely not common. :) My parents were born in Lithuania, my siblings and I were raised speaking the language. I ended up marrying a Lithuanian guy (he's 3rd generation, wasn't raised with the language, I'm 2nd), and we chose Lithuanian names for our children.
Reply:I don't think my little guy's name is unusual, but along the lines of a post above mine, I saw the most awful name to have one day at work. Mei Wang. Seriously. We made jokes about it all day: "Hey, what are you doing tonight?" "Oh, nothing, just hanging out with Mei Wang", or "Guess what? I was playing with Mei Wang the other day and the grossest thing happened!" Childish, I know, but we still had a riot with it!
Reply:Well i dont have any kids cuz im 12 going on 13 in a month but my name is Roa. Its pronounced like Rowa. People always say Row Row Rowa your boat gently down the stream. But my name is pretty if you can say it right.
Reply:My first daughter's name is Gwendolyn - and the one due in a few weeks will be Thalia - I don't think either one of them is a "weird" name, but definitely not ones you hear all the time.
Reply:Gabriel.

And yes, he is an ANGEL, and yes, he plays the TRUMPET.

(Though, he's kind of setting that aside for heavy metal guitar, at this time of his life.)

BEST SON EVER!
Reply:Nope, but my cousin's friend named her daughter Gahnyria because she thought it sounded pretty (she couldn't even spell it right, she meant gonorrhea--the STD).
Reply:My youngest child is named Rocky after his father. I hated it at first but it grew on me. I work with a guy that named his child Stone.
Reply:um... im not a parent but i know that if u just type in " worst baby names" you will find much worse than these

One i found was: "Ima Hooker" im serious!!!
Reply:no we went with traditonal names cause thats what my husband likes. I just hope they are not "old" names when our kids are grown. elizabeth anne (libby) thomas daniel Jr (tj) and Ryan Micheal
Reply:I think I gave my daughter a nice name..I named her Emma Nicole..Emma was a name that I love and Nicole is my mom's name. So it's very meaningful to me
Reply:D'Lon - (pronounced dalon)

dervied from letters from our names - Dwayne and Yolonda
Reply:My youngest son's name is Stryder. It was the only one my husband and I didn't suggest that the other one didn't hate.
Reply:My son is Paxson and my nephew is Ryken. Both variants of slightly more popular names (Paxton or Ryker).
Reply:Daughter Alaia pronounced A-lay-a, son Daxton
