Reply:When I couldn't decide on a name for my lastest dog, I wrote 6/8 names down on papers, screwed them up, threw them on the carpet, let the pup sniff around them - he finally picked one out - Roly!


I have had - Pooch (he was called this because everybody kept saying what a lovely little pooch!), Popeye( A cairn Terrier, loved to watch Popeye on TV so that became his name), Pepe, Duke (after John Wayne, because the dog a huge german shepherd rolled his shoulders when he walked just like Big John), Whisky and now Roly................


If you have no ideas just look at the things he does, watches, walks etc., you will get inspired maybe.................

Ask the dog, my puppies always let me know what they want to be called. My last rescue was called Tahos which sounded like Chaos and that was what she caused at the other people's house so they gave her up. I asked her what she wanted to be called and she said Katie. She has been a lady ever since. If she acts out, she is KATHERINE!, but that is only once and a while if she gets "devilin" with the other big dogs.
